Welcome to our blog

We (Adam & Chelsea) are devoted to an epic journey of minimalism & conservation. Our goals are to live out of a 27ft Winnie w/ our dog Sadie, find innovative/green ways to live off "the land" (e.g. compost on tow platform & green roof) & travel the US w/ contract vet work & Etsy paying the bills. It'll be a long journey, so keep an eye out! (read more)

THE BEAST

For a while Adam and I have lusted over the idea of tossing off the constraints of traditional "life" and making it up as we go. And to us that really just means selling everything we own and burying our roots in a home that is constantly moving. I graduate in May. At that point I will have finished 22 years of school. 22 YEARS! Ouch. The idea of printing off resumes and going for interviews just seems like another notch on the belt of what is expected and I'm not interested...YET. So we've decided the best choice for us is nomad living.

Introducing: The Beast!!

So this beauty is a 1971 Winnebago Brave converted into tailgate headquarters. If you can see past the annoyingly happy cardinal on the side you'll know this girl comes stocked with a fully functional...everything. Working refrigerator, stove, furnace, generator...and she's driveable. I think that for 39 years old that's pretty awesome. The downside: she borderline made me piss my pants when we opened her up on the highway, she sways like crazy. But she moves and we can get her up to 62 which suits us just fine.

The Beast is in the running, but we've really got our hopes on another gorgeous girl. We'll know if she's ours in a few days. I can't wait!!
